Still Life, Live Data (2017)

A collaboration with artist/Sorbonne Professor  Olga Kisseleva.

The exhibition, addressing the relationship between the viewer, artwork, and digital or physical viewing space, was simultaneously presented at Herzeliya's Artists Residence, the Edmond de Rothschild Center in Tel Aviv, and a dedicated website.

The space, which exhibited 13 photos, was monitored by an IT system that measured the number of visitors and the time they spent viewing each piece. The data gathered in real-time dictated lighting and sound system modifications for each photo. The more viewers spent in front of an image, the brighter it was illuminated and the clearer the speech describing it.

C-Print photograph, webcam, sensors, smart lights system, software code.
